An Ethical Massage Practitioner (EMP) is a professional who uses massage for relaxation purposes only. This differs slightly from a Massage Therapist, who may also work to alleviate pain and provide treatment in response to a physician's prescription. An EMP can provide you with a relaxing massage with many important health benefits, but cannot provide you therapy for injured muscles or other injures. Ethical Massage still carries all the benefits of massage, including stress relief, increased alertness, higher immune response, and better body awareness.
Andrew Penry received his training at Ahern's Massage Therapy school in Mariposa California. He is certified to practice Swedish massage, Shiatsu, Ortho-anatomy, and Myofacial Release techniques. He is also certified to practice pregnancy and infant massage, as well as aromatherapy and Feng Shui.
